About
“Set Your Expectations For Something Different.”

Dr. Chad Shafer
Founder of Heal2BHuman and licensed physical therapist, has first hand experience both as a provider and as a patient who has experienced how traditional medical care treats the human experience of stress, pain, and health. This experience is often fragmented, inefficient, and with multiple opinions and misdiagnoses along the way.
An experience of disjointed care often creates a strong sense of distrust and a profound feeling of hopelessness to just “accept” whatever we may be feeling or whatever label that we’ve been given by well intentioned medical providers, society, and even our friends and family.
Appreciating The Mind + Body
After countless interactions with patients, Chad has observed that “typical” health care leaves much to be desired due to it’s excessive focus on reactive care and symptom management rather than treating conditions by appreciating the interconnected nature of the mind and body.
His passion for physical and emotional health extends beyond his professional life. In 2019, he developed persistent TMJ and jaw pain from a seamlessly harmless dental procedure.
The Result?
Frustration, irritation, and a sense that he was out of control of his health and what his future may hold. Through months and years of self discovery, education, and connecting with others, he was able to find his way through the turmoil and now uses that experience to drive a better way forward in health care.

Redefining Physical + Emotional Health
Nicole Navarro, PTA
Breathwork coach, and co-founder of the Heal2BHuman Meditation Podcast, is a licensed physical rehab specialist with a deep-rooted interest in holistic medicine.
With a background in integrative medicine, licensed with decades of experience in physical rehabilitation, she combines her expertise in traditional medicine with holistic tools to provide comprehensive care to the patients she services.
Nicole is a passionate provider who is not only interested in simply “managing” symptoms of stress, pain, and injury, but truly addressing the root cause of our dysfunction in health.
Breathwork: Mind, Body, Soul
Through decades of patient-centered experience, Nicole realized that in order to truly help others, we need to understand the profound connection between physical and emotional health.
Breathwork, an ancient practice that has been used for centuries across various cultures, involves intentional breathing techniques that allow us to simply reconnect with the mind, body, and soul.
Many studies in modern neuroscience show that specific breathing techniques allow us to influence the autonomic nervous system- the division of our nervous system that controls much of our physiology. Breathwork allows the body to generate a rapid, and often long lasting change in the body’s ability to regulate blood pressure, heart rate, pain, and the stress response.
Recalibrating Your Nervous System
This highly effective tool allows us to “turn down the volume” of over-stimulation and over activation of our central nervous system and return to a biological state of homeostasis- a feeling of balance and equilibrium.
Nicole has personal and professional experience with breathwork and has helped to facilitate countless transformations in the patients for whom she serves.
Along with this personal experience, modern science has finally given us strong evidence that breathwork and meditation can be powerful tools to aid with stress, trauma, chronic pain, as well as daily life stressors.
